Farmer's Wife

Well I got the last of the top pieced.  I am so glad.  This UFO has been weighing on my mind.

Got two of the borders on tonight.

Next weekend done for sure.

I also took a break and went to my LQS.  This was after I pinned the last sashing strip in place three times. First time I did not have enough sashing strips.  Had not counted in the diagram.  Next the setting triangle on the left was upside down.  Now you can see why I needed a break.

I got a charm pack and a yard of Max and Whiskers while I was there.  Need to make a few baby quilts in the next month and that fabric is just so cute.

  1. I have been drooling over the Farmer's Wife book, but haven't bought it yet. Your quilt looks great! I haven't seen the Max & Whiskers fabric...how adorable!

  3. Thanks guys. That was the first time I made any quilt blocks. My quarter inch seams were not exactly stellar. I was surprised when I trimmed my blocks they were almost 6 and 1/2 inches and my sashing strips fit, although I had to do some stretching here or there.
