I am heading down to my daughter's to celebrate Christmas. I did a little last minute Christmas sewing yesterday. Two drawstring bags for my grandson's Lego toys.
I mailed my Farmer's Wife quilt to my sister. I got to visit with her at her home in Northern California. It has a cottage feel to it with wide plank wooden floors and vintage lace curtains. It just looked it needed an old-fashioned quilt to go with it.
Love the little bags! such a cute idea.
ReplyDeleteAnd that quilt...goodness...so pretty! I know she will love it!
Thanks for your comment on my blog. We had a lovely Christmas with Larry's 102 year old Grandma. It's funny, she's old enough to be the mother of most of the "old people" at her assisted living facility. She just keeps on trucking.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your Farmer's Wife quilt. You are incredibly generous to your sister! I knit my sister a scarf this year and thought that was a lot. lol
Take care,

your quilt turned out wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteThanks. The borders are a little wonky but this was one of my first quilts so I guess it was to be expected.
DeleteMy son loved GI Joe and Legos! I think those drawstring bags are great. That is an amazing gift for your sister. I'm sure it will be treasured!
ReplyDeleteI love your camo bags. Wish I would of thought of that when my son was little. He loved his legos and GI Joe. Your Farmers Wife quilt is beautiful. What a lucky sister. She is going to love it.
