Even More EPP

It has been a hectic few weeks.  My husband and I flew out to California for my son's wedding and had a week of beautiful California weather with a very beautiful wedding at Newport Beach.  I then came home and had to go out of town on business.  Not much sewing was done.

This weekend I got a chance to finish up the piecing for my Grandmother's Garden Hexie Project.  Now to take out the papers and basting and figure out a way to applique it to the background fabric.  I also finished one of my blocks for November.  I have one more to go.

I had a big shopping day yesterday.  I got the kit for my Dad's Queen size quilt and ordered the kit for my sister's quilt.  I know I will not get them done before Christmas, but since we spent time with them before and after the wedding, I got a better idea of what they wanted.  My friend Jessica closed up her quilt store so I took the opportunity to get some bargain fabric including some backing fabric to finish up some of my UFO's.  Today I only got so far and then I faded out.  Too much activity and not much relaxation.  I still have a couple of blocks for my block swap to finish up and get in the mail this week.

I got the first quilt I pieced back from the quilter.  It only took me three years to get it finished up.  I need to square it up and put on the binding.  I can see that I have improved a lot these last three years.
